Posts in this thread stimulate introspection which works well with where my real life is at right now. I thank you all, especially Gerania and Lyra33.

Neo-classical/Victorian literature/Goth is my present interest.

Miss shyangel, I send you a German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe poem "Ein Gleiches" which generally is connected to "Wandrers Nachtlied" and published together... however this is done through song.

Blixa Bargeld - Ein Gleiches - Sameness

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWR8vacaN5M

Over all hilltops/ is peace/ in all the treetops/ you feel barely a breeze;/
Up there all summits are still. In all the tree-tops you will feel but the dew.

The birds in the forest have/ stopped their song/ Wait, before long/ you too will be still.
The birds in the forest stopped talking. Soon, done with walking, you shall rest, too.

Bacio Di Tosca - Waldesgesprach ( Conversation in the wood)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_AhX13iv-c

Taken from Josef Karl Benedikt von Eichendorff (1788-1857) Poem
"Waldgespräch", from Romanzen

Lyrics from
Conversation in the wood (Eichendorff, set by A. Jensen, H. Pfitzner, R. Schumann, A. Zemlinsky, E. Kauffmann, E. von Freyhold) (The Lied and Art Song Texts Page: Texts and Translations to Lieder, mélodies, canzoni, and other classical vocal music)

... "So richly decked are mount and lady,
so wondrously fair the young form;"...

..."You recognize me well - from the lofty cliffs
my castle gazes down into the Rhine."...

this song reminds me of traveling this past year. this would play over and over again in my head while i wandered around strange airports, looking for the appropriate gate, so Ryanair could whisk me away to somewhere new.

Default Music from LOST, tv show

Even if you are not a fan of the show, you can enjoy the beautiful feeling instrumental music by the very talented Michael Giacchino who has actually scored many movies.

The best way to enjoy the music is to sit back, close your eyes...let your mind wander back to happy times, loved ones who are gone, cherished memories, or even regrets. This music very aptly sums up the human condition...that we just want to belong somewhere, and feel like our life was significant in some way. I especially like Hurley's Handouts.

Default Guster: Ruby Falls

I wish I could find a clearer video/sound...but this will have to do!
"tonight...
Where do we go from here?
The road to ruby falls has reached the end. And now, we're digging in the sand.
They're promising that help is on the way. "

Like a skein of loose silk blown against a wall
She walks by the railing of a path in Kensington Gardens...

The Clematis blooms in October
How rare... it matters not

I survey the sweep and gentle curve of the great lawn
the cherry tree (old friend)

When shall I see you again?
