if you haven't heard of deafheaven, check them out immediately. their 4 song demo is brilliant, and tre and jake over at deathwish inc just signed them. i'm expecting great things from them.
It's like I always tell people: if you think you're good at something, there's a 12-year-old in Japan who can do it better. Or in this case, a young Japanese woman who does grindcore vocals better than a lot of men I've heard live.

It's always awesome and scary to hear women do death grunts, especially in this example. The operatic chanting vocals are pretty cool as well. Who would have thought that an all-female band could nail the beauty and the beast vocals?
