An interesting mix of music there!
Another that I love to watch/listen to is this great video featuring VAST played alongside scenes from the film Equilibrium. I always think of the person who introduced me to the film also.
Both the band and film are amongst my faves. So it's a combination that gets the thumbs up from me!
"Grooveline" by Heatwave reminds me of being a teen. It was summer and I remember wearing some real tight jeans and walking everywhere with my friends. Good times!!
..once...I took my son to a 'new kids on the block' show...I wore earplugs...
Years later, I took him to a 'kid rock' show...I got caught up in the mosh...
He...well.......he was somewhere...smiles....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMkFjYRWM4MThis song reminds me of my young teens when there's a lot going on in life, and my loyalties were divided between family and my friends..this song brings back memories of the point in my life where I felt the need to leave home and strike out on my own.

My daughter also had a mad thing for New Kids on the Block!!!!! I think Jordan was her favorite. You are a brave soul for taking your son to one of those concerts!!!!! The teens must of been frantic!!!!
I GUESS THAT'S WHY THEY CALL IT THE BLUES - ELTON JOHN
I know I have posted this song in another music forum but this is how a boyfriend told me he loved me....we were apart at the time and I melted when he dedicated this song to me....
The following relates most to the childhood, but also my sister's wedding. Don't care much for the guy she married, but anyway when the song first played at her wedding I believe it was just me and my Mom dancing. My sister, the bride, was off somewhere. But then as we continued dancing my little sister, my brothers, and then the bride herself kind of just "appeared" to join it. At the end of it was the whole family dancing and probably remembering when the folks would play this. (Kind of an ornery song for childhood memories, but still...) Kind of a neat thing about having five siblings is that you can have the deal build with the song like that.
