My fave drummers are Mitch Mitchell and Keith Moon

Moon certainly was no "time keeper", only Townshend and Entwistle could play
in sync with Keith. Great on the toms, didn't even use a hi-hat
And he had a huge kit, I read one floor tom was used to hold his booze

Mitch Mitchell was amazing very fluid jazzy style, complemented Hendrix guitar alot.

Ian Paice of Deep Purple and Black Sabbath's Bill Ward, very good too.
They just don't make drummers like that any more.

I like Charlie Watts but I don't think he's quite as good.
Infact Rolling Stones then producer Jimmy Miller (also a very good drummer)
played drums on "You Can't Always Get What You Want".
Charlie couldn't quite get it right (Recorded at Olympic Studios in London
on November 17, 1968)

John Bonham, very powerful, had that big, super deep snare.
Opposite of Moon, Bonham's kit was usually very simple.
Check he bass drum pedal work on intro of Good Times Bad Times.
(Also recorded at Olympic Studios, in late September 1968)

His work on Genesis' Selling England by the Pound is a great example of playing to the music.
Here is Collins in a more aggressive mode.

Well I screwed that up. Drums on Breathless are by Narada Michael Waldon. Better put him on the list.

Here is Collins with Brand X. The song is Moroccan Roll.

I like Myron Grombacher(Pat Benatar's drummer). He played with alot of flair too. Also, I enjoy Alex Van Halen. He always seemed to play all out!
