Vinnie is very famous and noted for his footwork. "It's all in the footwork" ~Vinnie That's why I posted that!

When I was drumming in the 80's I protested the double bass, partly because I was punk and they were metal. My goal was to get my right foot to do what some guys could do with two. I was able to do the hot for teacher beat with one foot (or a version of it).

Some guys now do some amazing things with double peddles though. BTW what I did like about Bonham was his right foot!

Here is a good double kick for you, plus the high-hat!

For those who love triplets, check out the last 30 seconds. Smooth and effortless, yet insane.

My friend Pitts just reminded me of another. This one is for all the disabled folks out there. Just because you have a disability doesn't mean you still can't kick azz!! Rick Allen kicks some serious azz!!!

Top 5 personal favorites!

1. Ginger Baker-Cream
2. John Bonham-Led Zeppelin
3. Keith Moon-Who
4. Ian Paice-Deep Purple
5. Johnny Barbata*

* Certainly not in anyone's top list but a great, great drummer. Played w/ a lot of people, among them the Turtles, CSNY (on their early 70's tours), Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship. A bad road accident temporarily put the skids to a great career. Lives in central Oklahoma, was visiting friends in Okla. City and the two of us met him at a book signing there. Very personable guy, had lots of stories that he told to the people!

I have to do a funny now! LOL I have a challenge for all the young folks with hardcore/serious systems in their vehicles. I'm talking subs, amps the whole nine yards. Put that Def Leppard Pour Some Sugar On Me in. That song hits very-very hard and in many cases harder than most Rock tunes. All of that from a one arm drummer!

Very good point! My wifes fav band and song.

This guy was amazing in his day, he had suffered from tuberculosis of the spine, leaving him with short stature (under 5 feet tall) and a badly deformed spine. He was very sickly and would pass out after shows often. He only lived to be 34.

Listen to his power, he was a major influence on Buddy Rich and Louie Belson.
