Here's another that sounds like Roy Orbison to me:

It's funny, when it was getting radio airplay years ago, I kept thinking that there was something familiar sounding about it, but I couldn't quite peg it. One day while it was playing, it finally hit me that it sounded like Roy Orbison, and wouldn't you know, when the song ended, the DJ said something like "Doesn't that remind you of Roy Orbison?"

JDavid, the Mav's sound exactly like a cross between Roy Orb and Los Lobos..sounds strange, but it makes sense, believe me..They have a tex/mex, Tejano rock sound, especially with the horns in some songs...Doug Sahm sounds like them, with his Texas Tornado's, but doesn't vocalize like roy or chris...

We saw Chris Isaaks last night in Indianapolis. He played for well over two hours. In an encore he did "Pretty Woman" and brought down the house.
He may not sound a lot like Roy but he does have amazing range.
