But yeah, you shoulda set your parameters in your original post.
I did, American music.

I take Cetera over Sinatra.

My Granny listened to Sinatra and it ruined my ears as a kid.

Seems to me your ears were ruined before then. But whatever...

The ruination of yours ears explains Cetera.

Nice attack.

This thread is NOT about what you think of others picks.

You chose your list and I can poke all kinds of holes in those 4 but again I started this thread about who "you" believe has the best voice.

Stay on topic so the thread will continue and leave the attacks on others picks out of it.

Well, this is a pretty dang good voice, right here:

If I live to be seven million years old, I won't get Sinatra. I used to work at a retirement home and, let me tell you, it takes a lot of Sinatra to satisfy a legion of octogenarians. Sinatra, Dean Martin, Perry Como, Jim Reeves... not to say they don't have good voices, just totally not my cup of tea.

Has anyone ever tried to scream in tune and carry a melody while doing it? It is not a easy task to say the least. How many times does your voice crack, even if you somehow manage to remotely pull it off? Joe Cocker can do it and so can Brian Johnson, but they aren't American so I can't use them in this thread.

Wait a minute!

Do you mean to say that YOU can find fault with other's choices but we cannot criticize your choices?

Reread the posts. You started the whole what "you think of others picks" with your criticism of Sinatra, which regardless of one's taste in music, doesn't even make sense.

Do I not get an opportunity to defend my selection?

I could quote you article after article describing Sinatra's vocal giftedness, but you can easily google them yourself.

Someone with the absolute best singing voice ever.

Pretty sure I am missing someone but a quick list of mine would be.

Peter Cetera
Steve Perry
Celine Dion
Whitney Houston
Reba McIntire
Michael McDonald

I am sure most of you can make an awesome list of great voices in music.
At one time I was a huge heavy metal fan and my two favorite singers were Bruce Dickenson and Geoff Tate. Steve Perry too.

Many really good singers are out there hidden behind those screeching guitars and insane drum rhythms.

Ahem

Did you see my JUST TEASING at the end or did you miss it.

I never found any fault at all with Sinatra, I said I had to listen to his music at my Grannys house. I never personally attacked you like you did me.

I accept the apology for you missing the just teasing section.
