Case's Friday 3-Fers: Merle Haggard
Hello, everybody! Happy Friday to you, and welcome back. Normally, my Friday 3-Fer tradition employs the use of different genres and artists or groups within them. Today will offer a little bit of a departure, as I'm going to do a theme just for this day's experience, and I'll do it with just one genre. On today's journey, I'm doing the entire ride with a Country Gold theme, with artists and songs from what I call the "Country Gold era", between the early 1920s and the 1980s. These are some of the people who've shaped country music through the years.
Let me get the process started with a guy who once spent time in jail and ended up becoming one of the most successful country music artists of all time.
