Michael Jackson's music resonates because it evolved. Michael's influence reached much farther and wider than did that of The Beatles. Very few artists that are relevant today were influenced by The Beatles but most have stated that they were greatly influenced by Michael Jackson.

The Beatles were musicians. Michael Jackson was not only a musician but an entertainer.
In what way did it evolve?

I have great respect for the Beatles... i really do and i am a fan too... they are NO 2 on my list.
Saying MJ is bigger & better dose not mean I don't respect them... it's simply the truth ... he is .
Just watch :
MJ vs john lennon
MJ vs paul mccartney
MJ vs ringo starr
MJ vs George Harrison
Doesn't that say it all ?!!
The Beatles are global... but not as MJ... there is a huge defernce... i am from the meddle east & i can say it without doubt...no body here listen to the Beatles... in fact a lot of people don't even know them .
MJ effect on music was far more greater because he change the whole medium (singing, dancing, performing, and music videos) that's why he is greater than the Beatles.
its a simple fact .
MJ & The beatles are the best thing that ever happened to music .

Speak for your own obsession.....that's only in your own head. I still see the figures which proves that to be W-R-O-N-G.

An impossible statement to prove. I don't know how he could have influenced "farther and wider" than the global influecne The Beatles had. Global is global. That at best would be a draw.

Again, an impossible statement to prove. First of all....who are these "relevent" artist of today you speak of? You need to name them! You say they've stated it...so could we please have some names and links to their quotes?

"Relevant" is a subjective thing...someone you may call relevant, someone else may not.

I don't know of any bands that don't credit The Beatles as an influence.
