*whispering . . . don't tell anyone I told you, but from 1968-70 there was a hitmaking group known as the Union Gap who wore Civil War-style uniforms on stage and on television! And, in 1976, when Roxy Music toured the U.S. and England, leader Bryan Ferry---who'd been known previously for wearing tuxedos or classic white dinner jackets on stage---wore a World War II-style Army uniform with a "Roxy Music" patch on the biceps; he said the idea was a kind of salute to the USO shows entertaining the troops in those years:

Oh....I LOVED Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music!!

I count them as 1 of maybe 5-6 of the best concerts I've ever seen!

I saw them on the 1976 tour; they were touring behind Siren.

I still think For Your Pleasure is their best album, with Avalon, Stranded, and Country Life in a dead heat for second . . .

I can't recall the exact year I saw them, but they did The Strand, All I Want Is You, and Heartache.

It was GREAT!!
