I've always been a Collective Soul fan as well. While digging these up to post, I stumbled across a rare live version of Shine. Check it out CS fans, it's pretty cool. The studio version is on top!

I'll tell you why it's hard to find. Alternative, to me anyway, means something different. Nowadays it's pretty tough to come up with a new sound or style that we have not heard before. People are more accepting now than they were in previous generations so the gap of what we call mainstream is wider. For example at one time MUSE would most definitely would be considered alternative but they are more accepted into the mainstream world now.

As of right now, in terms of present day, this song here might be one of my very favorites, irrespective of genre:

Filmed on location, at least in part, in Southern NM and El Paso TX my current "home"! If you aren't foot stomping on this one, your pilot light may very well be blown out!

I had to go get a 4-way lug-nut wrench out of my truck while this was blaring in the wing joint once. A guy I know broke up with his girlfriend earlier that day and she came and let the air out of one of his tires in the parking lot! Dontcha need a jack too buddy? LMAO
