1. I hate Shania Twain and I think this song is cheesy as hell.
2. I like the Bangles overall. This song is ok.
3. I also hate Celine Dion and think every single one of her songs are cheesy as hell.
4. Never heard that song before and dont really like it.
5. No.
6. No.
None of those are my style at all. No offense.
I wouldn't consider any of this soft rock really. I think like, Bush is soft rock. Or maybe thats called soft alternative. I dunno.
The best ballads are the 80s rock ballads. Hell yeah!
I Remember You - Skid Row
Alone- Heart
Every Rose has Its Thorn- Poison
Always - Bon Jovi
And I love the Pretenders. I'll Stand by You is so great. Chrissie is so bad*ss. and Dont Get me Wrong Wonderful.
ok most of mine are cheesy too, but SO AWESOME!

Heheh, no problem, and no offense taken...I know the song style I had listed as liking is not everyone's cup of tea in terms of musical preference (I'm a total softie at heart, when it comes to music, although harder stuff can certainly also be nice as well, and I also do like some harder material )
Oh btw: I *love* both of the 2 bold-face referenced songs you had listed above!

#4. Yes, another love song.
#5. Another 80's love song.
#6. Quintessential 80's teen love song.
Are you making a selection for a wedding reception? With the exception of Celine and Shania the rest are a little dated and remind me of those compilation cd's advertised at 3am on cable tv after regular programming goes off.
Are you trying to make a cozy love nest for a lady friend? I think some instrumental classical music might be better - something Baroque.

Haha, no, no wedding in mind It's honestly just the kind of musical style, I had always thought of personally as really romantic. (I even like some "softer" stuff than this, such as Air Supply, which is my fav group overall.) I just wanted to see what other ppl thought though...thx for your comments as well
Not trying to make a "love nest", hehe...this is the kind of stuff I listen to myself!
Hm, as far as dated? Let's see... Shania's song is 1997. Bangles was 1988-1989-ish I think. Celine's was also 1997-ish. "Girl in the Tower" was 1991-1992 I believe. Although I could be wrong, I think Atlantic Starr's "Masterpiece" is 1992? "Nothing's Gonna Change my Love for You" is 1986 (I think?).
And yes, I am on the tail-end, of Gen-X, born practically right before Gen-Y / the Millenials...I just think some of the older stuff, can sometimes be a lil better than the stuff we get these days

Hey there, as always, many thanks for your feedback SifuPhil!
I listened to the song links, you had provided, and I *loved* Halestorm's voice...very pretty! Also I like pretty much anything by Enigma. The last song link was nice too
