Its just weird how for yrs i thought i had "im not in love" on cd but i didnt. I do have "the things we do for love" on a few cds. I have climax blues band - flying the flag on cassette but the tape is worn & old (31 yrs) & i love you sounds crappy.
I just got the cherish soundtrack cd in the mail today. Its really good & i can finally listen to the climax blues band 1981 hit song "I love you" in surround stereo. This cd is one of the best soundtrack i have heard & well worth the 13 bucks i paid for it on amazon. I have wanted this cd for quite sometime. It has the original master recordings in stereo. Im listening to tainted love now.
I have listened often to 10cc - Im not in love on the cherish cd. It was a hit in 1975 (#1 in uk & #2 in u.s.). The whispering & soothing words "Be quiet, Big boys dont cry" is quite nice. I always knew that the british secretary (kathy Redfern) said that on the song but some people didnt. The album version is a must listen. Its approx 2 mins longer (6:00) then the single version. I love you peaked @ # 12 in 1981. Why it didnt crack the top 10 or even hit #1 ill never understand. I bet if it was re-released today it would at least make the top 5.
