Currently my favorite song, play it several times a day. Here's the details on it. I thought it might be an old R&B song but apparently it's a new piece of work.

Love "Rolling In The Deep" Definitely worth replaying a few times. Good for aerobics, too.

I'm trying to figure out how Adele has become so popular because she defies all the rules of modern-day female popstardom: she writes her own music, she writes songs with emotional depth, she can actually sing, and she's not skinny.

Good song, but not her best. I like Set Fire to the Rain.

It'll be interesting to see if she retains her stardom and doesn't turn out to be a one hit wonder. We haven't really seen a female singer like this since Mariah and Whitney dominated the scene. Most new mainstream female artists with a career of longevity are also good performing artists.

Adele has already had more than one hit on the charts in the U.S. ("Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You"), but time will tell if she'll have longevity. With Amy Winehouse's death, maybe she'll wind up filling the music niche that Winehouse carved out without falling victim to the problems that plagued Winehouse's career.
