I was pretty young when MJ became a solo artist in the early early 80's. I liked his music, but as I hit the teen yrs I sorta branched off in to other forms of music.
It wasn't til just a couple of yrs ago, even before his death, that I started to play his music again. He was a really talented and dynamic person, he was the "vessel" or whatever you want to call it, talent, energy, IDK, I don't want to get all spiritual here, but there was an undeniable presence.
His career and impact on music is undeniable, and he was go down in history with all of the other greats who shaped music.
It is a shame that world is now lacking this incredible talent and energy.
Posted in other threads, this song was written for the 60th Anniversay of Sammy Davis Jr Broadcast. Jackson only sang this song once and I can't get over the way he sings this song. It's unlike anything I've heard him sing before
I didn't want to drag his personal like into this thread and I am not encouraging it to go any further than this, but I came across this video of him singing with still shots of his children I thought was just so sweet and so close to Father's day. Lionel Richie wrote the song and Jackson recorded it on his Invinsible album as homage to his children.
* Please do not start debating whether they are his or not and just enjoy*
