I'm not sure there are any songs on the Who's Quadrophenia that would qualify as forgotten hits, but here's a couple of songs that I think only received air time when the radio station played the whole album.

Hey, cool thread! I saw this, and immediately a few songs came to mind. So I got out my box of very old 45s, which are mostly unplayable - I haven't looked at them in many years. It is kind of weird to pick up the original Capitol Records 45 of I Want to Hold Your Hand, backed by I Saw Her Standing There, bought when they were new, when the songs were new . . . I think I am getting old.

Anyway, speaking of The Beatles, I liked the B side of Eight Days a Week as much as the A side, although I'm sure it didn't get much airplay - really great harmonies on this song:

The Beatles - "I Don't Want To Spoil The Party" - YouTube

Although this would never have been a hit, I still remember how much I loved playing the flip side of "Blowin' in the Wind":

Peter Paul & Mary - Flora ( The Lily Of The West) - YouTube

I'm sure most people haven't heard this, it was only added to YouTube in July. Flip side of Summer Song by Chad and Jeremy, written by Dusty Springfield's brother Tom, love this song:

Chad And Jeremy - No Tears For Johnnie - 1964 45rpm - YouTube
