SRV paying tribute to his hero Jimi Hendrix. It wasn't long after Stevie was gone too. Two greats that died way before their time in the prime of their careers and lives. I think Stevie's version had more emotion than Jimi's did with his special gift and extras added. It's a real tear jerker. You can feel the pain then and now. Goodbye men!
"My Heart Will Go On" made me cry. It really is a beautiful song.
Another song that did was "Lucky" by Britney Spears. Because it really is true - you can have all the fame and fortune and still feel unhappy deep down. What really makes it sad is that eventually this would come true of Britney's own life at the beginning of 2007.
I don't think a song makes me cry per se, but I will say Etta James or Patsy Cline have the "pain" in their voices that you can "feel" the emotion they are singing about.
Definitely - and the late singers Billie Holliday and Phyllis Hyman.
