Ok, is it just me or it is IMPOSSIBLE TO UNDERSTAND what Adele is saying in thsi song? I had to google the lyrics, and when I am sitting there reading along with them I can understand, but if you are listening to the music, it's just

JIBBERISH.

For god's sake. What is the sense of writing and performing a song if you can't understand a word of it.

Stupid.

Not a clue what's being sung either, but then again, I don't have the best hearing. Seems it would be a much better instrumental song.

I didn't find it difficult to get the lyrics, but the chorus was tough to pick out until I remembered the title of the song. My wife, on the other hand, always complains that I don't understand what she's saying.

Odd, my wife says the same thing about me. I usually answer with "Huh?"

Obscurity in music is great as long as the lyrics are truly poetic and out there.

I estimate I understood about 2/3 of the lyrics being sung in that song. I often have trouble with this exact thing, and I'm surprised I understood that much of it.

Edit: Also, she has one heck of a voice. I'd heard her song "Rolling in the Deep" in stores and such, but I never knew who it was. (I never listen to the radio or keep up with new music) I'm definitely impressed.

I understood all of it. The words are important and I listen to songs with a headset on and really listen to the words. I thought it was a beautiful song. You can also look up the lyrics in an instant on the web for any song even if you don't know the name of it. The ways people sing a line are all different, it's not an exactly science in language. Sometimes listening to the song without the video helps immensely.

I let it fall, my heart
and as it fell you rose to claim it
It was dark and I was over
Until you kissed my lips and you saved me

My hands were strong
But my knees were far to weak.....
