If I was going to this, my top priority by far would be to see fIREHOSE. I only got to see them once before they split in the '90s.
I'd definitelty also see St. Vincent and Wild Flag.
I'd probably see Madness, Mazzy Star, Radiohead, Buzzcocks, Snoop Dogg, Egypt 80, and Greg Ginn.
Everything else on that list is something I either don't like, don't care to see, or haven't heard of. I'm sure I would like some of the artists I haven't heard of, but huge festival settings are usualy a bad place for me to discover new music. Too many distractions.
I figure for the price you are seeing so may great groups that even if you only want to see 5 per day it's worth the price. I love the magic of Coachella, almost as much as seeing the bands. Expecially when the sun sets, the breeze chases the heat, and you see palm trees against the sky and music in the air.
This song songs sounds just like Guster...one of my very favorite bands. So good!
"
I am a boy, I am a child
With those simple dreams still burning in my heart
I’ve known Marie for a while
She shows me where all my beginnings are
And once a week she takes me dancing
She shows me friends and places I never knew
And it always ends watching her leaving
With a man she knows don’t understand what loneliness will make you do
And she does it so well
She shows me where my dreams dwell
She shows me how to find myself
And that nothing is wrong"
This artist is great. For me it's more than just listening to his music...
"f we can call them friends
Then we can call them on their telephones
And they won't pretend that they're too busy
Or they're not alone
And if we can them friends, then we can call
Holler at 'em down these hallowed halls
Just don't let the human factor fail to be a factor
At all
Don't
Don't you worry about the atmosphere
Or any sudden pressure change
'Cause I know that it's starting to get warm in here
And things are starting to get strange"
