Default Case's Friday 3-Fers: Johnny Paycheck

Howdy, everyone! Welcome back to another Friday of music and fun, which my portion is called Friday 3-Fers. This day's installment will take on a different form than the usual mix, however, in that I'll be bringing a special theme just for today. I'm calling today's installment "90 Years Of Country". I'll be featuring nothing but country artists, past and present, on all the posts on this Fun Friday. This is also my last Friday for two weeks (vacation next week). So, let's enjoy today's ride!

I'll begin this journey with a guy who was part of the '70s "Outlaw" movement in country music, but prior to that, he had been a bass player and backing vocalist for George Jones. He's even been credited for developing The Possum's unique vocal style and phrasing.

Default Case's Friday 3-Fers: Patsy Cline

Here's a lady whose voice I've always called the finest in the genre (out of all the female artists, that is).

Default Case's Friday 3-Fers: Merle Haggard

One of the stalwarts in the advent of the Bakersfield sound in the 1960s. And he was also inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 1997.
