Traditional pagan songs?
Anything? Thanks. Dont bother with the 3 B's. Please.
I've got all the GD Bach, Beethoven and brahms I can stand.
I wish to go farther back.
I'm in a... 'compromised' state .. and the internet taxes me.
Still, I've looked around and just find ****ing Nazi Anthems.
Nothing from pre Christianity. No offense.
Christ has done many great things, I'm sure.
Frustrating. <--is a nice way of putting it.
Everyone just remembers the Nazis and some fat guy writing songs for Christ ( a Jewish Rabbi). Odd, that. Guess it'll all be sorted out in the end.
SO... Anyways, sorry for prattling away...
Germanic Traditional Songs?
Thanks you so much.
Sorry.
Why are you looking for such stuff, anyway?
There is little if anything left of original Pagan Europe. Most of it has long been extinguished and what some people refer to as Pagan today is mostly pseudo-Pagan stuff whose authenticity is rather dubious. Most neo-Pagans dislike Christianity and dream of some original European Pagan culture, but nobody really knows what it was like, let alone what music they played etc.
Unlike with Native Americans, the European tradition has been extinguished for almost two millennia, sometimes brutally, sometimes subtly, but both very efficiently. In the US thanks to reservations, segregation, racism etc. native traditions have been retained.
I abstain myself, TG, but, I can still remember
"Beer, we drink it here, for in Heaven there is no beer. and when we're all gone
from here Our friends will be drinking all our beer.".... lol
Great song......for selling beer. Pretty clever really.
Anyways, thank you for offering this up. Made me smile.
Thanks for trying you guys. Not much left.
Ciao! Thanks again.
