in my post, it's about THE SAME artist, different song. the 1981 R&B hit makes reference to the title of a hit from 1978 by THE SAME artist.

There are still more than one song where this has happened.

For instance:

Bon Jovi references "Livin' on a Prayer" in his own song "It's My Life."
The Beatles refers to "All You Need is Love" with "She Loves You"
Ween refers to "Baby Boy" in the song "Baby Beosh"
Mott The Hoople refers to "Drivin' Sister" in their song "Half Moon Bay"

See where I'm going here....I could go on and on..

The Beatles refernce 5 of their own song titles in the song "Glass Onion" which are, "Strawberry Fields, I am The Walrus, Lady Madonna, Fool on the Hill, Fixing A Hole."

the 1981 song is "Woman needs Love" by Ray Parker Jr where he makes reference to "Jack and Jill" from 1978
