I'm trying to figure out why "Tiny Dancer" would be embarrassing - it is such a great song. And I also don't think "Open Arms" by Journey is embarrassing at all.

To even admit that I ever knew who Barry Manilow was is pretty embarrassing - I would never admit to my friends and family that I LOVE this song:

Tiny Dancer is great, most of Elton's early work I really like.
It's the glitter & outrageous costumes and just, well, 'persona' that might raise a few eyebrows at the family picnic.

Another:

Gettin' kinda heavy.

Okay, again....man, I remember this was SO big...back in the day:
Still, kinda like it.

Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby - YouTube
Beat is still awesome!

OK, I admit it, I like the "Spice Girls"....

Also, Barry Manilow, he has a HUGE following btw. Lots of people really love his music. NO embarrassment there.

absolutely nothing embarrassing about Elton nor George Michael's solo work.

Wham! on the other hand....

Wham! - Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go - YouTube

nah, I'm not even embarrassed about that. ^ Always puts me in a good mood, and if a song does that... then there is nothing to be embarrassed about

To give you an idea, although I can get into almost any kind of music, my actual music collection runs toward NIN, Tool, Primus, Katatonia, hard rock, glam rock, metal, industrial, etc.
