I have failed as a parent. I have tried to show my daughter, age 12, that alternative music is the best music out there. Yet she likes pop crap. Or whatever it's called -- Top 40? I don;t mind some of it, actually, but some of those songs make me want to scream.
Here is a current one: putting aside his abhorrent behavior, what is the draw to this guy? The autotune seriously hurts my ears, he sounds like a chick, and I really hear no talent whatsoever.
Also, most country music makes my ears bleed. Johnny Cash is one huge exception.
"Stupid Hoe" by Nicki Minaj is the worst pop song to come out in the last 10 years. It's so bad it makes me want to punch a baby. It's so bad, that I don't even want to post a link to it for fear that other people on this board who haven't heard the song will listen to it and suffer.
I think that makes it all the way to so bad it is good.
