I begrudgingly respect ABBA for their song craft and musicianship, but their arrangements are so unbelievably cheesy that I find it impossible to enjoy most of the group's music.

They were very popular here. Don't know how to gauge it in comparison with the rest of the world, but they had many hit records here.
