My favorite band from the 80's who's songs do not sound dated is The FIXX. Just bought their new album "Beautiful Friction". I'm about to wear out the CD. It is awesome to me that they are still together and making great music.

Alphaville - not too different from Coldplay, at least to me.

Dated? Are you kidding?

It's the number #1 debut album of all time.

More copies of this have sold worldwide then any other debut album.

It's some crazy number...over 35 million copies sold.

Also made the American Billboard 200 and 1001 Albums you must hear before you die list.
