Depeche Mode left a mark in music history, and in my life. Anyone love DM or have a Depeche Mode video to share?

I'm a massive fan.

Violator is 23 years old now and stands the test of time. I think the pairing of Anton Corbijn as a video/film guy with their music is creative genius.

They really put on a great performance. They really move me. I could post their entire catalog of music!

...but I'm definitely most fond of everything they did from Music For The Masses onward. Some of their early synth pop is a little cheesy.

Still wishing I could be as Cheesy as Depeche Mode...(To be as cheesy as those songwriters aka Depeche Mode, would be Utimate Warrior style)

I like some of their stuff. They were like a pop version of The Smiths.

I can't draw one remote parallel to the Smiths.

DEPECHE MODE-MARTIN GORE-SOMEBODY - YouTube

This song is poetry - none of their other work spoke to me as deeply as this one. I realize the music isn't as flashy as some of their other stuff but I appreciate the depths from which these words came.

Maybe both bands have some lyrics which are slightly on the dark side but musically, I can easily tell them apart.

I think some of their stuff sounds more like Kraftwerk than the Smiths. [Do the Smiths even use a synthesizer?]

I love Depeche Mode although I only have two albums for some reason. I have Black Celebration and Violator. Here are some of the songs I play most from these albums...

Depeche Mode - Fly On The Windscreen - YouTube

Depeche Mode - But Not Tonight - YouTube

Depeche Mode - Halo (Video) - YouTube

Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence (Remastered Video) - YouTube

That was really hard to choose only two from each album because I like listening to all of the songs.
