Pardon me for not acknowledging serial plagiarists as brilliant and innovative. There were much better hard rock bands from that time period. Some newcomer to this forum lazily dismissing my post as "trolling" does not change that.

Just as many roots can be traced back to Jimmy Page as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Pete Townshend, Buddy Guy etc... No Van Halen, No GnR, no Metallica, no nothing.......

There's a difference between being influenced by something and blatantly ripping something off. Zeppelin ripped off riffs and song lyrics (often word for word) without giving credit to the original musicians. Zeppelin has been sued numerous times for copyright infringement.
And those don't even cover all instances of blatant plagiarism. And if they're truly just "influence" and not stealing, why have several writers/musicians sued Led Zeppelin and won?
