As much as I love the Beatles, I don't think I'd want to see them live. All the footage I've seen where they're in concert, you couldn't hear a single word they sang. All you heard was screaming--is there even a word to describe the magnitude of the screaming?
I have seen Paul McCartney and 2 Ringo All Star Bands though
Mine would probably also be Floyd. That's never going to happen unfortunately. Then again, if Gilmour didn't top his Comfortably Numb solo from Pulse, I'd probably leave disappointed, lol.
I had tickets to see the Dead once in New Haven, but Jerry was ODing on something and couldn't play so they cancelled day of the show. I was also supposed to go to an Alice Cooper (original band) on the Billion Dollar Babies tour but was called into work (with Alice it was less the music than the stage spectacular). Never saw either.
And while I've seen the Waterboys several times, I would've loved to have been in Glastonbury in 1986 when they all but stole the show, ending with a monumental cover of Purple Rain with Steve Wickham doing the end solos on fiddle.
