'Stones ~
They both wrote songs in similar genres, ie; rock. psychedelic, folk, country but the Beatles weren't as adept with their instruments and never had the thundering, monster rock concerts the 'Stones wrote the book on starting in the 60's.
Both are great, but to me, the Mick Taylor era 'Stones pretty much define rock n roll.
Shockingly enuff, some might disagree

Back in the day I was always more of a Stones fan as I liked their blues based music, I still do but am much more appreciative of The Beatles today than I was when they were together.
I find it near impossible to pick just one favorite song or just one favorite band or to even just pick one over another. To me, what you want to listen just varies so much with mood/circumstances, and there's such a variety that we have easy access tol, I'd probably have to say my favorite music people are the inventors of recording techniques and those who've been perfecting them for decades. Thank you!
Beatles, but Stones are one of my favorite rock bands too.
Stones, but I love the Beatles as well.
