Terrible Grammy show.

ELO was the highlight, and I'm not "old."

I don't know I am only a few years beyond the target demographic but the Grammys are becoming like the Oscars where I am lucky if I ever heard two of the major nominations. It did seem as if they are now stripped down to pure Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, and Rock are now gone. To go along with the long gone Jazz and Blues, although I think I saw Herbie Hancock on the piano behind some Pop singer.

The ability to get a plurality of a generation emotionally invested into a three minute song is not an easy task. If it was Paul McCartney's ex wife would have more money then everyone else I know combined, I have met Lionel Richie and Smokey Robinson.

They do still have numerous categories but they are not televised. Makes me wonder if the event is an all-day and night event.

Like someone else said, you are extremely limiting on how you are defining an "artist". All those things you mentioned - singer, dancer, entertainer as well musicians, even the people behind the scenes in music are technical artists, so as you can see your definition is vastly limited.

First of all, I wasn't sure if I was watching the Grammys or the Tonys.

As usual, waxy Madonna confused costumes with clothing. She clearly hasn't heard of the "ick factor." Despite the bullet-proof support hose, women with class know that the thigh-look is gross. And the red carpet flash? Ugh.

Nobody wants to see old crotch.

I don't watch any award shows anymore. They are all irreverent. I prefer to watch and listen to things I like, on my own time. No media outlet can tell me what I should be paying attention to. I make my own decisions. I do like this one song though.

I agree. Old crotch ages like bread, not like wine.

The Grammy's last night were not great; seems we're suffering a drought in the music business. We now listen mostly to oldies on the internet from KIXI in Seattle.

I only saw Adeles performance.

What a most perfect tribute to George Michael, who was such a fantastic song writer. Adele honoured him with a perfectly beautiful performance

Good Grief! I listened to a little over 1 minute and the monotone was unbearable.

Seriously...is that what they call talent these days?
