1) LP version. I had to think a minute to remember that they would turn out a separate version for radio.

3) Re: the writer, Dan Hartman....he wrote some of my favorite disco tunes...good singer himself, he had a lot of showmanship. Sad that he died young.
I am 34 years old, I was totally blown away when I've first heard the 45 version of "Free Ride", I agree it was sad that Dan Hartman died so young, I was shocked to find out that Dan Hartman sang for the Edgar Winter Group considering I have always liked his hit song "I Can Dream About You".
