Also a list of some of the most overplayed songs on radio and in stores and restaurants the past 28 years. My vote goes to Madonna - Open Your Heart, a really good song and one I dont hear all that often.

Really hard to decide because 1987 was definitely a great year for music and a lot of great songs from that year went #1 but I'm gonna choose my Top 5 favorite songs that went #1 that year

Huey Lewis & The News' "Jacob's Ladder" (surprised that one went #1 considering it didn't seem to get a whole lot of airplay during its chart run)
Kim Wilde's "You Keep Me Hanging On"
Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again"
Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer"
U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For"

Definitely one of my favorite years for music.
