I have a set of JBL speakers, model 4311B, with stands. (24" tall, 30" on the stands) I know nothing about this, but I am assuming that these vintage speakers could be replaced with something more compact, not as heavy, but of comparable quality. Is that a correct assumption? Should I sell these and try to obtain updated speakers? This is just for one's living room, not a concert venue.

Thanks.

You could sell them to me.

How do they sound to you?

Maybe you could buy a pair of Klipsch towers, but why get rid of those?

I am moving, and downsizing. They are just big for my new place.

These are the speakers I would recommend for a standard size living room. They'll blow away your JBL's.

They can be stand mounted or just used as bookshelf speakers.
