That show was boring. Everyone who I was watching the game with was boooing him to shut up already. Such a let down; especially after last year's amazing half time show. ZZZZzzzzzz.

I agree that the Prince show last year was much better. I like Tom Petty, but thought he was a bit boring.

I was hoping he would play "Mary Janes last dance'', thats my favorite song from him. But I thought it was a good performance. It was certainly better than those stupid commercials.

Ditto.
It was almost as if it was deliberately *kept* safe.
I was disappointed.

I think even the camera men thought so, as they kept zooming in on the scantily clad girls in the crowd, probably hoping that one girls tube top would fall down.

Maybe we Tom Petty fans are biased, but I thought it was the best. He is timeless, it's great to see him rocking out his classics for a new generation of fans.

No way would the brass allow that song to be played.

I recorded the game to watch it later... I wound up fast forwarding thru the half time show. I just don't care for Tom Petty.

I also thought it was boring. Tom Petty is okay, but he's the last person I would turn to if I wanted to generate excitement.

I liked it - but I am a fan.
Best one: U2 in the superbowl after 9/11 I think - awesome.
Prince last year was great.
