My hats' off to you, mofford. I didn't recognize any of the clips....and I don't guess anyone else did either. I know and like the song, but haven't heard it in a while and thus it was a ways off my radar. But that was a tough one on radar or off.
I'll echo Howard's comment that it's too bad the shorter clip was not identifiable, for you really stood out from the crowd with this one. But then you're not exactly known for getting lost in the crowd, are you?
Thanks Crown, I went from Car Wash to Bristol Stomp, lol. I should have known it wasn't Car Wash because nowhere in that song, does the guitar separate from the other instruments. That clip was an isolated guitar sound. I thought Square Peg's Average White Band was the right direction. That first clip, cut as short as it was, sounded funk to me.
Yes, Howard, expanding the clip to give a full guitar lick, made me think of Bristol Stomp, and your appeal to Case made me think this might be a 50's or 60's song, which Case has good talent for. Really, you never heard Rose Royce's Car Wash song? I admit, you might not ever get rich from that song, but let me tell you, it's better than diggin' a ditch ! A fun work environment can be hard to find.
