it first hit the charts at number 90 w/e May 23rd, 1964. Then zoomed upward to number 2 by July 4th.
But the point of my post was that somehow my memory has it grouped with Fingertips, Wipeout, and Candy Girl. Not with I Get Around, A World Without Love, and People.

Think maybe I'm getting old or something?
Well, the book states that it charted in Feb 1964 in the title index and, in the name index, that it reached #2 on 06 June 1964. I haven't seen that type of discrepancy before.
As for getting old, I know of only one way to avoid it and I haven't chosen that route yet. I just try to not acknowledge it, but can't avoid it when I have a day like yesterday when I was up and down a ladder 40-50 times.

There is a new one to be solved back on the other page.
Yes, I saw it and heard it, Howard, but don't have any guess with any sound basis for it. I don't hear anything specific or unique enough to do anything but wildly throw darts.
I considered that, though. I could post Things I'd Like To Say just as an excuse to post one of my very favorite songs of all time, but I'd be flabbergasted if that was really your clip. Flabbergasted, not to mention very lucky.
No problem with conversation about the 50's to 70's music.
But if it was 2-3 pages then others may not know there is one left to be solved back on page........Some people on all forums only look at the first or second page.

I'll add that it conveys a sense that I know the song well and that it is what I would term a quality song that I like. That's what made me think generically of Things I'd Like To Say.
But.....I'm a country mile from knowing what it is.
This is my guess for 337, sounds like a violin note from this song, but I'm not sure. Howard, sorry about the Shining parody a few pages back, all work and no play makes mofford a dull boy.

That's a good guess, mofford, and is the kind of song I have in mind that it will be. There are many others, though, and very difficult to pin down with a clip that short of a fairly common sound.
I think Mofford is real close, as I've compared both the song and the clip. That one note has some promise. Not ready to declare it officially won, but I think it's close.
And, no, I don't have a guess. Sorry to wizz on the corn flakes.
