This is sort of a spinoff of the "Favorite Song" thread. Is there a song you really don't care for, but it brings back a good memory/event/time period?
For me, it would be "Heat of the Moment" by Asia. I hate the song itself, but I get a big smile when I hear it, even today. When the song was out in the summer of '82, I was 17 and started dating my first-love then. Very, very good time period in my life! The song was played constantly that summer. So I guess you can both love and hate a song at the same time.
Well, really can't think of a song I hate, but the song "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" (by Steam) was the last song that played on the radio before my Mom had her stroke. I hate the thought that it was the last song she heard, but when it comes on the radio now I smile because I believe it's her way of saying, "Hi."
I have a couple..
Always Be My Baby by Mariah Carey
My Way by Frank Sinatra
Stairway to Heaven by Led Zepplin
those are my sad songs..
Then there are
Wild Thing by Tone Loc

Kinda hard to believe that Leon Russell & Bonnie Bramlett wrote that one, eh harry?
Thanks for schooling me as i had not a clue that they wrote that song. Just something about ''Agent 99'' err Karen Carpenter makes me yearn for the days of Z-ROCK back in the 80's and 90's.........
