What are you favorite dance tunes... past and present?

I'm going to start off with two from the past. The first one is:

Quote:
"The Twist" is an American pop song written and originally released in early 1959 by Hank Ballard and the Midnighters as a B-side to "Teardrops on Your Letter".[1] Ballard's version was a moderate 1960 hit, peaking at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100.[2]

Chubby Checker's 1960 cover version of the song gave birth to the Twist dance craze. His single became a hit, reaching number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on September 19, 1960, where it stayed for one week, and setting a record as the only song to reach number 1 in two different chart runs when it resurfaced and topped the chart again for two weeks starting on January 13, 1962.[3]

But I am going to post the video for Chubby Checker's more popular version:

And the second one is:

Quote:
"Cool Jerk" is a song written by Donald Storball and originally performed by The Capitols. Released in 1966, it reached No. 2 on the American Rhythm & Blues Singles chart, No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100[2] and No. 9 on the Canadian Singles Chart.[3] The backing track for this song was actually recorded (secretly) by the Motown house band The Funk Brothers.

And from what I could find on Wikipedia, this song was written to capitalize on the popularity of the dance called "the jerk."

Also, you don't have to include the history of the song, etc., but what are you favorite dance tunes?

Also, I forgot to mention that all genres of music are welcome.

Another one from the past is Shotgun by Jr. Walker & the All Stars. And which coincidentally mentions the jerk.

Also, I don't mean to hog all of the fun, but I found these two in one of the "Up Next" lists on YouTube.

And here's one that's more current that came out in 2013:

Also, you can call me old school, but the rhythm and the beat of this song lends itself to doing the twist.
