New thread folks and it's kind of fun. Also, it's kind of like Sluggo's http://www.city-data.com/forum/music...main-same.html thread, but the name of the songs don't have to be the same, but the songs' themes have to be similar.
Even though The Friends Of Distinction's song is more poetic and more romantic, the similar theme in both songs is that there is someone that the singer is romantically attracted to who makes them spin around in circles.
And the next two songs are in my next post because I didn't want to make this post too crowded.
Well, after hearing the part of the chorus of "Freeway Of Love" that says:
We goin' ridin' on the freeway of love
In my pink Cadillac
it's pretty obvious what the similar theme of these songs is.
Also, coming up with these songs takes a little bit of time and a little bit of thinking, but once you start looking through your collection and/or doing internet searches, you start to find the songs and the search starts to get fun.
Besides the word Dance in the the title, the lyrics tell similar stories of two people finding each other on the dance floor. The songs both have an upbeat energy as well.

Nice ones Nema98 and unfocused. Especially Nema's Brandy(which I am familiar with, but never really paid attention to the lyrics before) and The Captain Of Her Heart, which has personal meaning to me.

Hey, unfocused. I knew that there were two songs floating around in my head where one song seemed to be a sequel or a continuation of another song, but I couldn't think of it until now. But two similarly themed songs that seem almost like sequels are Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney's The Girl Is Mine:
