I heard this pop song that sounds like every other pop song out today. It was a very generic song called "Heavy". Then I looked and to my shock my phone said the artist was Linkin Park, a pretty cool rock band who had some big hits 15 years ago or so. I thought this was a mistake, this song couldn't be Linkin Park. Yet it is and they totally sold out and changed their sound to blend in with today's pop sound. Nothing short of astonishing. Btw I don't have a preference for rock over pop, I like good music of all genres. The Linkin Park of yesteryear was compelling and original, this Linkin Park blends in with the wallpaper.
Thanks I enjoyed that clip. Those teens pretty much had the same reaction I did. It was funny that Linkin Park's older music is part of their childhood nostalgia.
Might have been a decent song if done in Linkin Parks normal style. As it is its generic pop 2017 instantly forgettable. The next song that came on after this one on youtube was Battle Symphony, apparently both are from the new album. If this is their new sound they will lose a lot of fans.
