Based more on your clues than the musical snippet, I'll go with this one.

That is correct.

And the criteria I used (which I knew was going to be a very inactive thread) was a vocal noise or sound that was not actually in the searchable lyrics. And it was (99%) not instruments or it would be on the other thread.

That was Ernie's one hit wonder that made the top 10.
He also wrote a few songs for Dion.

He wrote some good ones, including co-writing Child of Clay, a classic favorite of mine.

As is often said, "you learn something new every day".

'61 was something of a dark age for me and music, because my ***hole father prohibited my radio listening for a good while. I think I brought home a couple of Cs on my report card, plus he thought I spent entirely too much time in my room listening to music. This in Minnesota - when it was 30 below outside. Jerk.

I had never heard or heard of this version. My knowledge of the song began with The Beach Boys. Thanks for the additional info.

This clip contains 2 songs, I made this a little easier than normal because I want to see if any new or rookie players can solve these. This includes you Howard, as chief executive producer after the passing of Mark Goodson & Bill Toddman, you never get any solve time. You and all the other peach fuzz players like William, Toosie, Fern?, B-Zone, and all you soft invertebrate lurkers, shall have until noon tomorrow to make a guess, if nobody gets it by 12:01 tomorrow afternoon central time, all you hammer head Crown and Peg sharks can move in for the kill.

Twice as Nice Puzzle (official trophy by Howard Systems Inc.)

So are these from the same mofford favorite list that 157 Riverside Avenue came from?
