i know there is Christian country, but its not exactly worship, seems worship music these days is pretty much hip hop based
It is more like sacred music meets the needs of the local community. And many drill down with praise and worship having a specific meaning as a sub genre.
Now that the general music industry is going away from "urban" as a genre descriptor I don't know how exactly to call the preferred style of evangelic African Americans, Black South Africans and other African nationalities. In the end like Motown became a default crossover style in a defacto segregated country in pop music in the 60s a touch of hip hop influence is now what draws the most diverse audience.
