There is recent hookah about some youngvwhipoersnappets who sound like Zeppelin.

I gave in to the hype and listened on Spotify. What I heard was cliched, derivative poppycock. Songs about mountains and women. I was bored. I also was annoyed at the blatant robert plant style singing. Said to be saviors of rock and roll. I think not. Who thinks rock and roll needs saving? Who cares ?

I agree. They have some degree of potential, but they need to find their own voice ASAP or they'll be laughed out of the room pretty quickly. They're being way too obvious with the Zeppelin thing, and it isn't just the singer. The drummer is obviously copying Bonham. He has the exact same drum setup as Bonham, and is being recorded in a way that mimics his sound as closely as possible. He can't touch Bonham in terms of playing ability, however, so it falls flat.

I'm glad guitar rock bands are getting attention, but this is not one of the more deserving guitar rock bands on the scene these days.

I haven't heard of or heard that group, but there are plenty of copy bands these days that lack originality. It doesn't take much to copy what's been done before. The bands that become big and are remembered are the ones that bring their own unique blend to music.

I'm sure this "band" will fade from view very soon. We probably don't want to promote them though, like we're doing here. Even if not the intention, this is very quickly making this "band" known to many, undeservingly.

I think you vastly overestimate the influence this forum.

Wow, they are SO young.

Maybe they've never heard of Zeppelin.

I like them, but then I remember I'm not listening to Led Zeppelin and get pissed and switch to the real thing.

So young the singer's dad still won't let him grow his hair long.

Precisely how I feel about Led Zeppelin.

Robert Plant would disagree with you

Some friends have jumped on to the GVF train... I'm just not impressed by them at all. It's great to see young bands, but they seem to just be LZ copycats to me.

A young band that I really do like a lot is Sunflower Bean. I think they have the potential to be huge.
