All right people, get out the smelling salts. My favorite Ramones LP is Subterranean Jungle. Has a great version of the Chambers Brothers '68 classic Time Has Come Today. Like the early Sire'76 and '77 stuff ( their 2nd LP w/ Carbona not glue gettin' real collectible). Have a few things by the Damned and the Dickies. Speaking of the Dickies, their version of Nights In White Satin is the Moody Blues 2nd favorite cover version, their favorite being the one by Eric Burdon and War. I like Generation X. Billy Idols solo stuff are kinda 50/50. The Stanglers early A&M stuff isn't too bad!
Oh yeah..the Misfits How can you not love the Misfits?
Thank you, sir. Funny you mention The Misfits. I'm the only person I know who is into punk and does not like them. It's not that I think they're all that bad, I just never got into them and believe me, my friends listened to them all the time back in the day. I will say that "Where Eagles Dare" is one of my favorite punk tracks of all time though... Just not crazy about much else.

I can't believe I left Gen X off my first list. Probably one of my favorite bands and I'd say that s/t LP is one of the best punk albums ever. I went to see Billy Idol a couple years ago and he played "Ready, Steady, Go" , "Dancing With Myself" (I guess that one goes both ways) and finished his set with "Kiss Me Deadly". It was worth the $30 to see that.
It was kind of funny, everyone went nuts for "Mony Mony", "White Wedding" and the likes, but when he played "Ready, Steady, Go" everyone just kind of stood there akwardly bobbing their heads along to it, no one knew what it was.
Anyways,
The Rezillos. Another one of my all-time favorites. If you are into punk and have not heard "..Can't Stand The", I highly suggest this.
The Undertones.
I dig a lot of classic Oi! too, like Angelic Upstarts, Sham 69, Peter & The Test Tube Babies, 4-Skins, Last Resort and yes of course, Skrewdriver.
