The 90s and the 00s had some gems but in general I didn't find then new music very good (1988 born). I was so glad when in 2008 pop music started to change. I remember being conpletely surprised how catchy Poker Face was. Until 2007 I had to rely on old 70s or 80s music to enjoy as I didn't dig the songs popular in the second part of the 90s and in 2000-2007. In mid 2014 imo is when music again went back to cr*p. I really miss 2008-early 2014 in pop music andculture. Anyone agree/disagree? As a 1988 born I wassupposed to love 1998-2007 music more, yet I prefer looking back to 2008-2013/spring of 2014. Most of the ppl missing that time online seem to be at least 5 years younger than me.

Some new hits make Gangnam Style, Royals, Call Me Maybe and Best Song Ever sound like Mozart.

There were a lot of good pop hits during that time. from about 2003 to 2009 it was pretty bad, just like the past 5 years.
