I hate day-glo socks and 'greed is good' and jingly jangly (irritatingly catchy) pop songs. At the weekend I learned that Duran Duran are playing Cary's Koka Booth Amphitheatre on May 21st. Today I discover that the Regeneration Tour is coming to Cary as well. August 28th will see the Human League, ABC, Belinda Carlisle, Dead or Alive, Flock of Seagulls etc bringing the eighties back to life.

I don't get it. So don't go. They're not playing in your backyard are they?

I'm sure there are concerts others don't like but variety is the spice of life. You can skip this, and others can skip the Nutcracker at x-mas.

Like, TOTALLY RAD!

Hey, thanks for letting us know! Looks like fun to me!

The eighties has been back to life for a while now, actually. At least 10 years. In fact, they may have never really completely died to begin with...::cue Twilight Zone theme::

I saw Duran Duran in Charlotte last year, and it was a really great show - and I wouldn't even consider myself a real fan of theirs... I also saw the Police in Charlotte, saw Culture Club & Human League here in Raleigh... Would love to have seen Bon Jovi, but that crosses to the 90s.

The only 80's I may hate is when and hopefully I actually attain that ripe ole age at least physically, mentally and among my friends (me, myself and I) I will always to 20, 30, or 40 something and no more!
