Of course, the "real" band is the original to see if possible. However, most of the varied tribute bands I've seen are talented, a lot of fun, you can get really close up, and generally very good!
Have seen "Bonfire" many times...amazing EARLY AC/DC tribute band and always fun to watch!
Post up some other really good tribute bands (of any genre) that you like...
I saw these guys in Dallas a couple years ago. You'd swear you were at a Depeche Mode concert. The tribute band is Strangelove - The Depeche Mode Experience.
These guys, Lotus Land (Rush tribute band) nail Rush's "Hemispheres Prelude." The video production is excellent also. Four minutes and forty seconds of your life you won't wish you had back.
The Musical Box. Classic Genesis tribute band. Amazing. It's like being in '72 watching Genesis, crazy Gabriel outfits and all. Highly recommend their shows.
