Speaking of Tony Joe, am spinning some 45's now and "Polk Salad Annie" I just fetched for a play. His version of Brook Benton's top ten song is a good one. It was from his early Monument label days which Rhino just released on a multi cd compilation.

The Outsiders. Not the "Time Won't Let Me" Outsiders from Cleveland, but a Dutch band of the same name from the same era. I had never heard this one until just a couple of minutes ago and it's pretty interesting to say the least - considering it's from 1968.
