I've never heard Boccherini's work performed live by anyone, seems very rare but I've been listening to it on CD off and on for a few years now..I find the nocturne bittersweet, well it does have a special memory attached to it so that adds to it for me...

I'd never heard this woman sing before. Does anyone know if it's true that von Karajan wanted her to save her voice for this version of Ave Maria? If so, I can understand why. Gorgeous~~~
